Hiring.zycto is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Warehouse Distribution Associate for the Night Shift at our bustling Toronto facility, strategically located to serve the York University area. Your day-to-day will involve a variety of essential warehouse tasks, encompassing everything from accurately receiving incoming shipments and organizing inventory within our state-of-the-art storage systems, to precisely picking and packing orders for outbound delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to established procedures and customer specifications, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate various material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, after proper certification and training.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, assist with cycle counts, and maintain organized storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including loading trucks and completing all necessary shipping documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including performing general housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets and resolve any issues that may arise during the night shift.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality control issues to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift schedules.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other powered industrial trucks (PITs) with valid certification.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Familiarity with scanning technology and barcode systems.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
