Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs, processing payments accurately and securely.
- Provide comprehensive and enthusiastic information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions in Ashbridges Bay and greater Toronto.
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and making reservations.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues with empathy, efficiency, and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, maintaining accurate records and balancing accounts.
- Assist guests with luggage handling and transportation arrangements as needed, demonstrating helpfulness.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure seamless guest satisfaction.
- Process wake-up calls and special requests reliably, ensuring guest comfort and convenience.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety, security, and data privacy protocols.
- Perform night audit duties if required, ensuring end-of-day reports are completed accurately.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) and standard office software.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, particularly for weekend shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically as a Guest Services Agent or Front Desk Associate.
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., French, Mandarin, Spanish) is a strong asset.
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with specific PMS software (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds, RoomMaster).
