Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Welder Apprentice to join our thriving team, with an immediate start at our state-of-the-art facility in Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman welders in preparing materials, tools, and equipment for various welding operations.
- Learn, practice, and execute fundamental welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) under direct supervision.
- Safely operate and maintain welding equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Accurately cut, grind, and shape metal components according to project blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and standard welding symbols.
- Perform initial quality checks on welds to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Actively participate in all designated training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent manual dexterity.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance at the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
- Completion of a pre-apprenticeship welding program or relevant vocational training.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
- Basic theoretical knowledge of metal properties, types, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with various types of metal (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
