Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeymen and foremen in all aspects of framing, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wooden or metal frameworks.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
- Handle and transport building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Operate power tools and hand tools commonly used in framing, such as saws, drills, nail guns, and hammers, under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform general labour tasks as required to support the construction team.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment, actively asking questions and seeking knowledge.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all work performed, aiming for precision and adherence to standards.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills in framing and construction.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, bending, standing, and climbing.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to and from various job sites in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
