Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive distribution strategies that align with company goals and market demands.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control.
- Implement and optimize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other automation technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational savings.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations, including safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
- Proactively identify and address potential operational bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations or distribution.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale distribution centers and complex logistics networks.
- Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and transportation management.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement operational efficiencies.
