Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and support senior fleet management personnel in daily operations, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
- Assist with the coordination of vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to ensure fleet readiness and compliance.
- Learn and apply best practices in route planning, dispatch, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to data analysis related to fleet performance, fuel consumption, and operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in vendor relationship management, including procurement of parts, services, and new vehicles.
- Ensure adherence to all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies.
- Support the implementation of new fleet technologies and software solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members as you progress through the program.
