Job Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and eager individual to embark on a rewarding career as a Plumbing Contractor Apprentice with Hiring.zycto. As an apprentice, you will work directly alongside our journeyman plumbers, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial settings across the Greater Toronto Area. This full-time position is designed to provide comprehensive training, combining practical fieldwork with theoretical knowledge essential for obtaining your Red Seal certification.
You will be involved in all aspects of plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs. From assisting with the cutting, threading, and bending of pipes to understanding complex piping systems and diagnostic procedures, every day will bring new learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Learn to identify and use various plumbing tools, equipment, and materials safely and effectively.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes according to specifications and blueprint instructions.
- Help in assembling and disassembling plumbing fixtures and fittings.
- Support in troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing issues under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Actively participate in training sessions and complete all required coursework.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- Valid G Driver's License and reliable transportation (essential for job site travel).
- Commitment to safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program (or willingness to enroll immediately).
- Previous experience in a construction or trades-related field (even general labour).
