Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in comprehensive training sessions covering nuclear medicine principles, procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Observe and assist certified Nuclear Medicine Technologists in patient preparation, including explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
  • Learn to handle, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals under direct supervision, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Develop proficiency in operating and troubleshooting nuclear medicine imaging equipment (e.g., SPECT/CT, PET/CT scanners).
  • Assist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures and quality control checks on equipment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle) to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical imaging teams, including radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage actively in continuous learning and professional development activities.
