Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Glamping Site Manager Trainee to join our growing team in Toronto. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a passion for hospitality, outdoor experiences, and a desire to develop into a leadership role within the unique glamping sector. As a Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive hands-on training across all facets of glamping site operations, from guest services and experience curation to site maintenance and team coordination.

Your journey will involve learning the intricacies of managing a high-end outdoor accommodation facility, ensuring an impeccable guest experience that blends luxury with the natural environment. You’ll work closely with experienced managers, gaining practical skills in customer relations, reservation systems, property upkeep, event coordination, and staff supervision. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Manager in daily operations, including guest check-ins/outs, inquiries, and problem resolution.
  • Learn and implement best practices for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of glamping tents, common areas, and facilities.
  • Support the coordination of guest activities, special events, and excursions, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Familiarize yourself with reservation systems, booking procedures, and guest communication protocols.
  • Participate in inventory management for supplies, amenities, and F&B offerings, including ordering and stocking.
  • Help manage on-site staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring under supervision.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks and troubleshooting for glamping structures and utilities.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and social media presence, promoting the unique glamping experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Prepare reports on site performance, guest feedback, and operational metrics.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an outdoor environment and adapt to varying weather conditions.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by a hospitality schedule.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and outdoor recreation.
  • Valid G Class Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or guest-facing role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of reservation software or property management systems.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience with social media management or content creation.
