Hiring.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and experienced Commercial Cleaners to join our thriving team on a contract basis, primarily serving our valued clients within the Kennedy Park, Toronto area. As a Commercial Cleaner specializing in contracts, you will be an integral part of maintaining the pristine condition of various commercial, industrial, and institutional premises. We are looking for individuals who understand the nuances of professional cleaning, from proper chemical handling and equipment operation to efficient time management and adherence to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a small team. You will be responsible for a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks, ensuring all assigned areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This includes, but is not limited to, general tidying, waste removal, floor care, surface disinfection, and restroom maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive range of cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, and fixtures, replenishing supplies as needed.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, elevator buttons, and common area tables.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, offices, and break rooms.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers, ensuring they are used safely and effectively.
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and according to established guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within designated timeframes and to the required quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and any operational needs.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform duties such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to various work sites within the Kennedy Park area.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- Previous experience working in various commercial settings (offices, retail, industrial).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required by contract.
