Hiring.zycto is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals for the Police Officer – Cadet program in the vibrant Fallingbrook community of Toronto. This full-time entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and foundational experience necessary to become a fully-fledged Police Officer. As a Cadet, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of law enforcement, working alongside experienced officers and gaining invaluable insights into police duties, community relations, and crime prevention.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all assigned training modules and educational programs.
- Assist sworn officers with administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry.
- Provide support during community outreach programs and public events.
- Conduct directed patrols and observations under supervision.
- Respond to non-emergency calls for service, documenting incidents as required.
- Learn and adhere to all police policies, procedures, and legal guidelines.
- Maintain physical fitness standards and participate in regular fitness assessments.
- Assist with traffic control and crowd management at incident scenes.
- Observe and learn proper techniques for evidence collection and preservation.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and the public.
Required Skills
- Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a good driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to pass physical assessments
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal record and financial checks
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Commitment to community service and public safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (college diploma or university degree)
- Experience in customer service, security, or volunteer work
- Proficiency in additional languages relevant to Toronto's diverse population
- Knowledge of the Fallingbrook/Toronto community geography and demographics
- First Aid and CPR certification
