Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Music Producer – Creative to join our dynamic team in Bloorcourt Village, Toronto. This isn’t just a technical role; we’re searching for an artistic powerhouse who lives and breathes music, possesses an innate ability to discover and cultivate unique sounds, and can transform concepts into captivating auditory experiences. You will be instrumental in defining the sonic identity of our diverse projects, ranging from bespoke scores for digital media campaigns and independent films to original artist development and cutting-edge podcast sound design.
As our Creative Music Producer, you will be the driving force behind the artistic direction of our audio productions, guiding projects from initial conceptualization through to final master. This involves collaborating closely with our in-house directors, content creators, and external artists, providing expert guidance on musical arrangements, instrumentation, vocal performance, and overall mood. Your day will be a blend of hands-on production in our state-of-the-art studios, scouting new talent, experimenting with sound design, and meticulously overseeing mixing and mastering processes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction and execution of music production projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with artists, content creators, and internal teams to understand project vision and translate it into compelling musical narratives.
- Oversee all stages of production, including arrangement, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering, ensuring the highest sonic quality.
- Experiment with new sounds, genres, and production techniques to create innovative and unique musical experiences.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to emerging artists and sound engineers.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver exceptional results on schedule.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and musical landscapes to continually elevate our creative output.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Music Producer, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative range.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live).
- Deep understanding of music theory, arrangement, instrumentation, and vocal production.
- Exceptional ear for sound quality, mixing, and mastering principles.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire creativity and lead collaborative projects effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulate artistic vision.
- Adaptability to various musical genres and project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
