Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vendor Manager to join our growing team in Cowbridge, Cardiff. This pivotal full-time role will be instrumental in optimizing our supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and driving strategic value across our procurement processes. As a Vendor Manager at Hiring.zycto, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of vendor management, from selection and onboarding to performance monitoring, contract negotiation, and continuous improvement. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with internal stakeholders across various departments, including operations, finance, and product development, to thoroughly understand their evolving needs, identify potential suppliers, and proactively manage existing vendor partnerships. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic vendor management programs and policies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate, review, and manage vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics, conducting regular business reviews and performance assessments.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and risk mitigation within the vendor portfolio.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues, disputes, and performance challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, new suppliers, and best practices in vendor management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, spend analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required Skills
