Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
- Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards.
- Control food costs by managing inventory, reducing waste, and optimizing ordering processes.
- Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP, local health codes).
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Perform regular equipment maintenance checks and manage kitchen repairs as needed.
- Contribute to menu development and innovation, bringing fresh ideas and seasonal ingredients.
- Handle disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and general HR duties for kitchen staff.
- Monitor portion control and prep consistency to maintain profitability and quality.
