Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packing Operative to join our busy Burnaby facility for an immediate start. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to ensuring products are packed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Packing Operative, you will be a vital part of our operational team, playing a key role in the final stage of our supply chain before products reach our customers. You will be responsible for preparing various goods for shipment, meticulously following packing instructions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. We are looking for someone who can work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to their duties. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare a variety of products for shipment according to specific order requirements and company standards.
- Inspect products for quality and damage before packing, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Operate packing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including tape dispensers, label printers, and potentially pallet jacks.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labelled, sealed, and documented for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials and products as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as directed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the packing department.
- Be able to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
