Key Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, clearing debris, and setting up equipment and materials.
- Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment, transporting them as required around the site.
- Assist skilled tradespersons such as bricklayers, carpenters, and electricians with their tasks.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform manual digging, trenching, and other excavation tasks.
- Assist with basic demolition work and the disposal of waste materials.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and site rules rigorously.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe environment.
- Participate in site meetings and tool-box talks as required.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
- Full UK driving license.
- Basic knowledge of different construction materials and their uses.
