Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging and informative tours of Florence’s major attractions, historical sites, and lesser-known gems.
  • Develop and deliver compelling narratives about the city’s history, art, culture, and traditions, tailored to the group's interests.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants, managing group dynamics effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions knowledgeably and professionally.
  • Handle logistics for tours, including coordinating meeting points, timings, and entry tickets.
  • Adapt tour content and pace to accommodate diverse ages, interests, and physical abilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Florence’s cultural landscape, events, and relevant historical information.
  • Represent Hiring.zycto and its partners with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per tour schedules.
  • Proactively seek feedback from guests to continuously improve tour experiences.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in English and Italian (both verbal and written)
  • Proven experience as a Tour Guide or in a public speaking role
  • In-depth knowledge of Florence’s history, art, architecture, and culture
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to engage and captivate diverse audiences
  • Professional demeanor and a passion for customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional language proficiencies (e.g., Spanish, German, French, Mandarin)
  • Official Florence/Tuscany Tour Guide license or certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Degree in History, Art History, Archaeology, Tourism, or a related field
  • Experience with luxury tourism or specialized themed tours
