Are you a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer looking for an opportunity to push the boundaries of design and analysis? Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Structural Engineer to join our thriving team in Bangor, Belfast. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and delivery of a wide range of structural projects, from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural analysis and design for various building types and materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
- Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings in accordance with relevant codes (Eurocodes, British Standards).
- Collaborate effectively with architects, clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and structural inspections, providing technical advice and resolving site queries.
- Manage project deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Contribute to the development of junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Utilise structural design software (e.g., TEDDS, Etabs, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit) for analysis and modelling.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
Required Skills
- MEng/BEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 36 months of demonstrable post-graduate experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., TEDDS, Etabs, Tekla Structural Designer).
- Strong understanding of British Standards and Eurocodes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review and mark-ups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) or actively working towards it.
- Experience with BIM software (e.g., Revit Structure).
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices.
- Experience in forensic engineering or structural assessment.
- Project management experience.
