Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general grounds keeping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely, such as mowers, string trimmers, and leaf blowers, after receiving proper training.
  • Water plants, shrubs, and lawns as needed to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Remove litter, debris, and fallen leaves from all designated areas.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks, including planting, pruning, mulching, and snow removal.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions (bending, lifting, standing for extended periods).
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction effectively.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Basic understanding of landscaping tools and equipment (we provide full training, but familiarity is a plus).
  • First Aid certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in an outdoor environment.
