Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Seasonal Motorcycle Mechanic to join our vibrant team for the upcoming riding season. Based at our bustling St. Clair Avenue West location, you’ll be instrumental in keeping Toronto’s motorcycle community on the move, ensuring their bikes are safe, reliable, and performing optimally. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, chain adjustments, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Execute complex repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission work, suspension system adjustments, and fuel system repairs.
- Assemble and test new motorcycles or custom builds, ensuring all components meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates for repairs and services to service advisors and customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and preventive maintenance tips.
- Document all work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job thoroughly and accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Motorcycle Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities across various motorcycle makes and models.
- Proficiency with a wide range of motorcycles, including sportbikes, cruisers, touring bikes, and off-road vehicles.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools specific to motorcycle repair.
- Excellent manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions for extended periods.
- Valid motorcycle license (M Class) and a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or certification from a recognized motorcycle technician program.
- Experience with performance tuning, custom fabrication, and aftermarket accessory installation.
- Knowledge of current motorcycle technologies (e.g., ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire, CAN-bus systems).
