Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental consultancy projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct detailed environmental impact assessments, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and environmental management systems for clients.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Ensure project compliance with relevant environmental legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to facilitate project delivery.
- Provide expert advice on environmental matters, including contaminated land, waste, water, and air quality.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and contributing to bids.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in environmental consultancy (minimum 4 years).
- Strong understanding of UK and international environmental legislation and policy.
- Demonstrable experience in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client engagement.
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to work effectively autonomously in a remote setting and as part of a virtual team.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant environmental field.
- Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) or working towards chartered status (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM).
- Experience with GIS software for environmental data mapping and analysis.
- Specialist expertise in areas such as biodiversity net gain, carbon accounting, or circular economy principles.
