Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively searching for an exceptional Production Planner – Logistics to bolster our vibrant operations team right here in Toronto. This isn’t just a planning role; it’s a strategic position at the heart of our supply chain, crucial for translating market demand into tangible production plans and ensuring the efficient, timely movement of products. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between sales forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and intricate distribution logistics, playing a direct role in enhancing our operational efficiency, managing costs effectively, and ultimately elevating customer satisfaction.

Your day-to-day will involve developing comprehensive production schedules that not only meet our ambitious market demands but also optimize the utilization of our manufacturing resources. You’ll be tasked with the critical oversight of raw material and finished goods inventory levels, proactively identifying and mitigating potential supply chain disruptions. Collaboration is key in this role; you’ll work closely with diverse teams including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and our external logistics partners, fostering strong relationships to ensure alignment and smooth execution across the board. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules (MPS) from sales forecasts to meet demand.
  • Monitor production, adjusting schedules for demand changes, material availability, or capacity.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely raw material availability, preventing delays.
  • Manage inventory levels (raw, WIP, finished goods) to optimize capital and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehousing for efficient material flow and storage.
  • Identify and resolve production/logistics bottlenecks, implementing improvements.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems for planning, scheduling, and data accuracy.
  • Analyze supply chain data, forecast demands, and recommend process enhancements.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings, providing insights on production and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years in production planning, inventory management, or supply chain.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with distribution and transportation planning concepts.
