Job Description

Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a talented and meticulous QA Engineer to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from your home office while collaborating with a dynamic and geographically dispersed team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cutting-edge software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify defects and ensure our applications meet stringent quality standards before release. We are seeking someone passionate about quality assurance, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, providing critical feedback and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features and existing functionalities.
  • Perform manual and automated testing across various platforms (web, mobile, API) to identify, document, and track software defects.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure testability of new features.
  • Report, track, and manage defects using designated bug tracking systems, working with developers for timely resolution.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that defects have been corrected and that no new issues have been introduced.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings within an Agile development framework.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard frameworks and tools.
  • Perform performance and load testing, as well as security testing, when required.
  • Ensure documentation of test procedures and results for future reference and compliance.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback to product and development teams on quality status and potential risks.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
  • Proven experience with manual and automated testing methodologies and tools.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
