Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-tier technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS), applications, and peripheral equipment.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems and platforms.
- Assist with basic network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN problems.
- Document technical solutions, procedures, and maintain accurate IT asset inventory records.
- Educate users on IT best practices and security protocols.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
- Monitor IT systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex technical challenges and initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in an IT Support or Help Desk role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools like Jira Service Desk or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Experience supporting cloud environments (e.g., Azure AD, AWS).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
