Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, identifying client needs, strengths, and goals under supervision.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, utilising evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence.
  • Deliver therapeutic activities and exercises aimed at enhancing fine and gross motor skills, cognitive function, sensory processing, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Educate clients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home modifications to facilitate participation in daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, including assessment reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to professional standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to holistic client care planning and review.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities, supervision, and mentorship to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all professional codes of conduct, ethical guidelines, and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligibility to register.
  • Demonstrated understanding of occupational therapy principles, theories, and models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a client-centred approach to care.

Preferred Qualifications
