As a Civil Engineer with Hiring.zycto, you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and execution of a diverse portfolio of projects, including municipal infrastructure, site development, transportation networks, and water resource management. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design, analysis, and documentation of civil engineering projects, including site grading, drainage, utilities, and road design.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, environmental specialists, and other engineers to integrate civil designs into broader project scopes.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction support services during project implementation.
- Ensure all designs and work adhere to Canadian building codes, municipal bylaws, and provincial regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong understanding of Canadian civil engineering codes, standards, and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Eligibility for professional engineering licensure (P.Eng) in Ontario.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Ontario.
- Experience with stormwater management modeling software (e.g., PCSWMM, HEC-RAS).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Previous experience working on projects within the Greater Toronto Area.
