Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry and ledger maintenance.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Utilize accounting software to record and process transactions.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as needed.
  • Learn and adhere to company financial policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A-levels or equivalent with a strong focus on Mathematics or Business.
  • Pursuing or recently completed an AAT qualification or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., Business Studies with a finance component).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits).
  • Prior experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) is a plus, but not required.
