Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced plasterers in preparing work sites, including covering floors and furniture, and setting up scaffolding or ladders.
- Learn to properly mix plaster, stucco, and other related materials according to specifications and consistency requirements.
- Help prepare surfaces for plaster application by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying base coats.
- Assist in applying plaster or other materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using various tools such as trowels, brushes, and spatulas.
- Learn techniques for patching holes and cracks, smoothing surfaces, and creating decorative textures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and cleaned after use.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
- Transport materials and tools to and from work areas.
- Actively participate in on-the-job training and seek to continuously improve plastering skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
