Key Responsibilities
- Officiate baseball games consistently and impartially according to official rules (e.g., Baseball Canada, MLB rules).
- Make timely and accurate judgments on plays, including balls, strikes, outs, and safe calls.
- Maintain control and order during games, ensuring respectful conduct from players, coaches, and spectators.
- Ensure player safety by enforcing rules regarding equipment and sportsmanship.
- Interpret rules and resolve disputes calmly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with players, coaches, and fellow umpires.
- Complete and submit necessary game reports or scorecards accurately.
- Adhere to a professional code of conduct and maintain a positive image for the league and sport.
