Hiring.zycto is seeking a dynamic and experienced Camp Director to lead our vibrant summer camp program located in the Englemount-Lawrence area of Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive planning, development, and implementation of all summer camp programs and activities.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all camp staff, ensuring proper ratios and qualifications are met.
- Develop and manage the camp budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and fiscal responsibility.
- Establish and enforce strict safety protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring the well-being of all campers and staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing concerns, providing updates, and fostering positive relationships.
- Design and implement engaging and age-appropriate curriculum, including recreational, educational, and artistic elements.
- Manage camp facilities, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are well-maintained and readily available.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful camp culture that celebrates diversity and encourages participation.
- Conduct regular program evaluations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Handle disciplinary issues with fairness and consistency, adhering to established policies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant provincial and municipal regulations and licensing requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in camp leadership or youth program management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of child development and group dynamics.
- Proficiency in risk management and emergency response protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor staff.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
Preferred Qualifications
