Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors in various communal and private areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, ensuring all fixtures are sparkling and supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels are replenished.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas, adhering to waste management protocols.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment regularly to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions for streak-free results.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management proactively when reordering is necessary to avoid shortages.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use and safe storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
- Ensure all public and common areas are kept tidy, organized, and presentable throughout the day.
- Assist with minor repairs or adjustments as needed, or notify appropriate personnel for more complex issues.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all staff, visitors, and clients at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their safe use.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
