Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and supervise individualized and group strength and conditioning programs for professional athletes.
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and performance testing to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor athlete progress, interpret data, and adjust training protocols as necessary to optimize performance and minimize injury risk.
- Collaborate effectively with sports medicine staff, nutritionists, and sport-specific coaches to ensure integrated athlete support.
- Educate athletes on proper lifting techniques, movement patterns, recovery strategies, and lifestyle choices to enhance performance.
- Maintain a safe and clean training environment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in strength and conditioning, sports science, and athletic development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance methodologies and athlete development programs.
Required Skills
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent professional certification (e.g., SCCC)
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with high-performance or professional athletes
- Proficiency in designing and implementing periodized strength and conditioning programs
- Strong understanding of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and sports nutrition
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze performance data and utilize technology for athlete monitoring
- First Aid and CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Performance, or a related discipline
- Experience working with athletes in specific professional sports leagues or organizations
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced athlete monitoring systems (e.g., GPS, force plates)
- Knowledge of Olympic weightlifting techniques and programming
- Experience with injury rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols
