Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and interpreting federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support the HR team in preparing and updating compliance-related documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA where applicable).
- Help with the coordination and tracking of mandatory employee training programs related to compliance (e.g., harassment prevention, data security).
- Aid in the preparation for internal and external HR audits, gathering necessary documentation and data.
- Draft internal communications regarding HR policy updates and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee grievances or compliance breaches, under guidance.
- Monitor changes in employment law and assist in communicating potential impacts to the HR team.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, specifically those focused on improving compliance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the HR department as needed.
