Key Responsibilities
- Sorting and separating various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, metals) on a conveyor belt or designated areas.
- Operating and monitoring recycling equipment, such as balers, compactors, and forklifts (with proper certification), safely and efficiently.
- Performing quality checks on sorted materials to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, tidying, and disposing of non-recyclable waste.
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials as required.
- Identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets and operational goals.
- Participating in regular safety meetings and training sessions to enhance awareness and skills.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify different types of materials accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
