Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a meticulous and proactive Compliance Officer to join our dedicated team in Bristol. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical part in developing, implementing, and managing robust compliance frameworks that protect our business, our clients, and our reputation. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures in line with current UK and international regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance reviews to identify potential areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and updates, assessing their impact on the business and advising management on necessary adjustments.
  • Provide expert compliance advice and guidance to all business units, ensuring new products, services, and processes meet regulatory standards.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees, fostering a strong culture of awareness and adherence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal/external auditors during examinations and inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, breaches, and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely compliance reports to senior management and relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain meticulous records of compliance activities, policies, and incident resolutions for audit purposes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance-focused role, preferably within Financial Services or a regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA Handbook, GDPR, AML regulations).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex regulations clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to interpret legal and regulatory documents and translate them into practical business policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Compliance (e.g., ICA Diploma, CISI).
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with international regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU regulations, global privacy laws).
  • Project management experience, particularly in compliance-related initiatives.
  • Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms.
