Key Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive range of beauty treatments, including bespoke facials, relaxing massages, precise waxing services, luxurious manicures and pedicures, and rejuvenating body treatments, adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and client care.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to accurately assess individual needs, recommend appropriate treatments and premium products, and ensure a personalised and unforgettable experience.
- Maintain a pristine, organised, and welcoming treatment room, ensuring all equipment is meticulously sterilised and ready for immediate use.
- Educate clients effectively on post-treatment care routines and confidently recommend retail products to enhance and extend treatment benefits, contributing to spa retail sales targets.
- Stay continuously updated with the latest industry trends, advanced techniques, and comprehensive product knowledge through active participation in ongoing professional development and scheduled training sessions.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and assist with crucial front desk duties when necessary, ensuring a seamless and positive client journey from arrival to departure.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships, fostering loyalty and encouraging repeat business through exceptional service and genuine care.
- Actively participate in regular team meetings, crucial training sessions, and exciting promotional events to contribute to the spa's overall success and vibrant atmosphere.
- Handle all client feedback and complaints professionally, empathetically, and efficiently, escalating complex issues to management when appropriate to ensure client satisfaction.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices within the spa environment at all times.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) performing a wide range of beauty and spa treatments in a professional setting.
- Exceptional client care, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Strong product knowledge across various beauty brands and the ability to confidently recommend retail items.
- Impeccable personal presentation and a consistently professional, warm, and welcoming demeanour.
- Ability to work both independently with initiative and collaboratively as part of a cohesive, supportive team.
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for the beauty, wellness, and holistic health industry, with a commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced facial technologies (e.g., microdermabrasion, chemical peels, LED light therapy).
- Certification in specific massage techniques (e.g., hot stone, deep tissue, aromatherapy).
- Previous experience working in a luxury spa, 5-star hotel spa, or high-end salon environment.
- Proficiency in spa software management systems (e.g., Mindbody, Treatwell).
