Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive, long-term procurement strategies aligning with overall business objectives.
- Lead complex negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service agreements.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier identification and qualification to contract management and performance monitoring.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and operational resilience.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, tools, and systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, finance, and legal teams to understand requirements and align sourcing efforts.
- Monitor market trends, anticipate future supply needs, and proactively identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Champion ethical sourcing practices and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Implement and manage supplier relationship management (SRM) programs to foster strategic partnerships.
Required Skills
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, logistics, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve significant cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision making.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or related advanced degree.
- Professional certifications such as SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or PMP.
- Experience with advanced analytics tools and AI/ML applications in procurement.
- Familiarity with lean principles and six sigma methodologies.
