Job Description
Hiring.zycto is searching for an exceptional Lead Product Manager to join our innovative and fully distributed team. This is a critical remote role, allowing you to make a significant impact from anywhere within Canada, reporting to our Cabbagetown-South St. James Town, Toronto headquarters. As a Lead Product Manager, you will be instrumental in defining, developing, and launching cutting-edge digital products that solve complex problems and delight our users. You’ll lead product initiatives from conception through execution, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales. Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for key product areas, aligning with company vision and market opportunities.
- Lead the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and research to development, launch, and post-launch iteration, for a remote-first product team.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify user needs and market gaps.
- Translate high-level concepts into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
- Act as the primary product evangelist, communicating product vision, strategy, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering their growth and ensuring best practices are followed within the product team.
- Monitor product performance using key metrics, analyze results, and iterate on features to optimize user experience and business outcomes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging customer behaviors to inform product strategy.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure a smooth, efficient development process within a distributed team setting.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated success in defining, launching, and managing successful software products, particularly in a SaaS or B2B context.
- Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and detailed product requirements.
- Exceptional understanding of the full product lifecycle and agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, especially for remote collaboration.
- Experience working with remote and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Productboard).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Experience in a specific industry relevant to Hiring.zycto's market (e.g., FinTech, HR Tech, AI/ML, Cybersecurity).
- Certification in Product Management (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, CSPO).
- Prior experience working in a fully remote or hybrid work model.
