Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of assigned projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are consistently met.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical specifications, engineering drawings, and all project documentation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and verify compliance with standards.
- Implement stringent quality control procedures and ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to site teams, junior engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Generate accurate and insightful regular project reports on progress, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer or a similar role in a related industry
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively under pressure
- Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving aptitude and strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Project Management or a related engineering field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
