Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of assigned projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are consistently met.
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical specifications, engineering drawings, and all project documentation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and verify compliance with standards.
  • Implement stringent quality control procedures and ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to site teams, junior engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Generate accurate and insightful regular project reports on progress, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer or a similar role in a related industry
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively under pressure
  • Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Exceptional problem-solving aptitude and strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Project Management or a related engineering field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification
  • Experience specifically within the UK construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
