Job Description
This role represents an incredible opportunity for an enthusiastic and recently qualified Landscape Architect to embark on their professional journey with Hiring.zycto. Located in our vibrant Soho, London office, you will become an integral part of our design team, contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from urban regeneration schemes and public parks to private residential gardens and sustainable infrastructure. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for environmental design, a keen eye for detail, and a fundamental understanding of landscape principles. As an Entry Level Landscape Architect, you’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial concept development and site analysis to technical design, visualization, and project documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of conceptual designs, master plans, and detailed drawings.
- Conduct site analysis, research, and data collection to inform design solutions.
- Develop technical specifications and schedules under supervision.
- Produce high-quality visualisations, including 3D models and rendered plans, using CAD and graphic software.
- Collaborate with project teams on all stages of design and documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews as required.
- Maintain project documentation and design files effectively.
- Support senior staff with design development and project coordination tasks.
- Stay informed about current industry trends, best practices, and sustainable design principles.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles, planting design, and hardscape detailing.
- Excellent graphic communication and visualization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of UK planning policies and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or Lumion.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and software.
- Experience with GIS software.
- Membership or working towards membership with the Landscape Institute (LI).
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design aptitude and technical drawing skills.
