Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test complex electronic circuits and systems for new products from concept to production.
- Perform detailed schematic capture, multi-layer PCB layout, and generate comprehensive manufacturing documentation.
- Prototype, debug, and validate hardware designs using advanced lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.).
- Collaborate effectively with software engineers to integrate hardware and firmware, ensuring seamless system functionality and performance.
- Conduct thorough design reviews, perform root cause analysis for issues, and provide expert technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Optimize existing hardware for improved performance, reduced cost, enhanced reliability, and streamlined manufacturability.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and component advancements to inform future product development and innovation.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, robust test plans, and meticulous design documentation for all hardware projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in circuit design and analysis (analog, digital, mixed-signal, power electronics).
- Strong experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, debugging, and validation of complex hardware systems.
- Familiarity with embedded systems design and various microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M/R, PIC, AVR).
- Solid understanding of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB, CAN, PCIe).
- Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Ability to critically read and interpret datasheets, schematics, technical specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience with FPGA or CPLD design using VHDL/Verilog and associated synthesis/simulation tools.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded firmware development and hardware-software co-design.
- Knowledge of RF design principles, impedance matching, and simulation tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS).
- Experience with power supply design, DC-DC converters, battery management, and power integrity analysis.
- Prior experience in product development from initial concept through mass production and post-launch support.
- Familiarity with environmental testing standards and compliance (e.g., EMI/EMC, CE, FCC).
