Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a structured training program to learn CNC machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
  • Learn to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Gain proficiency in basic G-code and M-code programming for CNC mills and lathes.
  • Assist experienced machinists in loading and unloading materials, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Develop skills in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality control.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the machine shop environment.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Document work processes, quality checks, and production data accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and mentors to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance machining knowledge and practical skills.
