Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the appointment book efficiently to optimize clinic flow.
- Handle all incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, and directing calls appropriately.
- Process patient registrations, update personal and insurance information accurately.
- Manage patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Process payments, prepare billing statements, and submit insurance claims electronically.
- Explain treatment plans, costs, and payment options to patients clearly and concisely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Coordinate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Monitor and order office and dental supplies as needed.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by the office manager or dentist.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar medical office role.
- Proficiency in dental office software (e.g., Dentrix, Abeldent, Open Dental).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Professional and courteous telephone etiquette.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Dental Office Administration program.
