Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Logistics Manager to join our growing team in Thibodaux, Louisiana. This critical full-time position will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from origin to destination. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee the daily operations of warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution.
- Manage and optimize transportation routes, carriers, and methods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data analytics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety and quality standards.
- Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software to improve operational flow and accuracy.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including forecasting, stock levels, and order fulfillment to prevent stockouts and minimize holding costs.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics operations to ensure adherence to best practices and identify areas for process refinement.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution principles.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in transportation and logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
