Job Description

Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Product Designer to join our vibrant team in Canary Wharf, London. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interface of our cutting-edge digital products. As a Product Designer, you will be instrumental in the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept and user research to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI implementation. We’re seeking a creative problem-solver with a strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing product experiences. Your ability to advocate for the user while balancing business goals and technical constraints will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full design process from discovery and ideation to detailed UI specifications and prototypes.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for desktop, web, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive stakeholders.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analytics, and technological advancements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX design skills and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Solid understanding of web and mobile technologies and their impact on design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better communicate with engineers.
  • Experience with design systems and maintaining component libraries.
  • Previous experience in the Fintech or SaaS industry.
