Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the entire housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, and public area attendants.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas of the resort property.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort in all guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and optimize inventory for linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Conduct regular and thorough inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards are consistently met and maintained.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for all housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs for housekeeping equipment to ensure longevity and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of lost and found items, staff attendance, and cleaning logs.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Front Office, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless resort operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management, with at least 2 years as an Executive Housekeeper or Head Housekeeper in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of housekeeping professionals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective team and guest interaction.
  • Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to anticipating guest needs and effectively addressing operational challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Housekeeping Management or Hospitality Management.
  • Experience with sustainable housekeeping practices and environmental initiatives.
  • First Aid and Health & Safety certification.
  • Multilingual abilities are a significant advantage in a diverse guest environment.
  • Experience managing linen and laundry operations either in-house or with external providers.
