Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our essential Night Shift Warehouse team in The Beaches, Toronto. As a crucial member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our bustling warehouse environment during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack) safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance checks on equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Accurately pick, stage, and put away inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS) or manual processes.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA/WSPS regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with manual loading and unloading of goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding inventory status, potential issues, and operational flow.
- Participate in inventory counts and contribute to the accuracy of stock records.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift operator certification for counterbalance and/or reach truck.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Proven understanding and commitment to warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks consistently throughout a night shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and tracking inventory.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic suitable for night shift operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners.
- Previous experience working night shifts in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of GHS and WHMIS regulations.
