Key Responsibilities
- Sort mail and parcels accurately according to delivery routes.
- Deliver letters, packages, and special items to residential and business addresses on foot or by vehicle.
- Adhere to established safety procedures and traffic laws at all times.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Manage delivery schedule efficiently to ensure timely completion of routes.
- Handle undeliverable mail according to company guidelines.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, if applicable.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or issues encountered during deliveries.
Required Skills
- Ability to walk long distances and lift mailbags/parcels (up to 20kg).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Resilience and adaptability to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for sorting and delivery records.
Preferred Qualifications
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (preferred for some routes).
- Familiarity with the Drayton Park and wider London area.
- Experience in customer service roles.
