Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking motivated and diligent Road Construction Workers to join our dedicated team in Villeray, Montreal. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation, paving, grading, and compacting of asphalt and other road surfaces.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, including gravel, sand, and asphalt.
  • Set up and dismantle traffic control devices, ensuring safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians around work zones.
  • Perform general labor duties such as digging, trenching, raking, and shoveling.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Support heavy equipment operators and skilled tradespeople as required.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Proven physical stamina and strength for demanding manual labor.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

  • Capacity to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (Québec) with a clean driving record.
  • Completion of a recognized construction safety course (e.g., ASP Construction).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience operating small construction equipment (e.g., plate compactors, jackhammers).
