Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Surveyor to join our growing team in Prestwich, Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed site surveys using various surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanners).
- Collect, process, and analyse spatial data to create accurate plans, maps, and models.
- Prepare comprehensive survey reports, plans, and drawings using CAD software.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and construction teams to understand project requirements and provide expert advice.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Perform boundary surveys, topographical surveys, measured building surveys, and setting out tasks.
- Manage project timelines and resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during surveying operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surveyor in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
- Strong command of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) for data processing and drawing production.
- Excellent understanding of surveying principles, practices, and calculations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and blueprints accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or HND in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
- Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CICES).
- Experience with 3D laser scanning and point cloud data processing.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles.
- Familiarity with local planning regulations and land law.
- Experience in specific survey types like utility mapping or hydrographic surveying.
